About
A consultancy built for the sectors it serves.
Sami Gichki Consulting is an independent practice focused on culture and governance risk, the risks that shape outcomes, reputation and trust, but rarely appear on a standard risk register.
We work with boards, executives and senior teams in the NHS, charities, housing associations, SMEs and public bodies. Our clients typically operate in environments where scrutiny is high, the workforce is under pressure, and the gap between formal governance and lived experience matters.
The practice was founded on a simple premise: culture is measurable, governance is testable, and both are actionable. Our role is to make what is often felt and hinted at visible, evidenced and workable, without softening the findings or losing the humanity behind them.
Every engagement is founder led. We do not sub contract diagnostic work or hand it to unnamed associates. What you commission is what you receive.
The founder
Sami Gichki

Founder & Principal Consultant
Sami works with boards, executive teams and mission led organisations to identify hidden risks, strengthen decision making and translate complex strategic challenges into practical action. His experience spans charities, social enterprises, public bodies and cross sector partnerships, with a particular focus on organisations navigating growth, scrutiny, cultural change or stakeholder complexity. His practice is grounded in the belief that strong governance should be both rigorous and human: combining clear accountability, credible evidence and meaningful participation.
Alongside his consultancy work, Sami holds a portfolio of board, committee and advisory roles across health, youth, housing, research and civil society. His engagements have included the Mental Health Foundation, BBC Children in Need, the UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration, the Institute of Directors and several education and social impact organisations. He is an Ambassador of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He also brings direct experience of lived experience leadership, co production, organisational investigations and strategic risk, enabling him to work confidently across the boundaries of governance, culture and risk.
